The Benefits of Yin Yoga For Grief Support

Ashley Waite

According to the Yoga Journal, Yin Yoga is a passive, therapeutic style of yoga whereby participants are invited to hold poses for a greater length of time in an effort to access deep layers of fascia. By holding various poses, a yin yoga sequence can help restore the healthy flow of Qi in our bodies. This style of yoga is based upon ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles.

Ultimately, Yin Yoga is slower and meditative, giving the participant an opportunity to turn inward. Studies have found Yin Yoga to have a significant impact on lowering states of stress and anxiety.  and anxiety by activating the parasympathetic nervous system which calms your body and slows your heart rate.

We invite you to join Lauren Bentley from Conscious Community for a free virtual session on Youtube. May you find a moment of peace as you move forward in your personal grief journey.
